An accomplished railroad executive, Gary Marino brings more than four decades of experience to his position as the chairman and CEO of International Rail Partners, LLC, in Boca Raton, Florida. In his leadership role with the firm, he draws upon experience purchasing and operating nearly 100 railroads over his long career. Gary Marino has owned and operated railroads in six countries while generating hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.

Gary Marino earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University before going on to earn an MBA at Fordham University. Prior to joining International Rail Partners, LLC, he led Patriot Rail Corp. and RailAmerica, two companies that he also founded. He also gained experience in the venture capital and investment banking industries as an executive of commercial banks.

Mr. Marino further stands out as a military veteran who served as an officer with the United States Army Ordnance Corps from 1966 to 1969. An active member of the community, he gives back through his work with nonprofit organizations, such as the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization and the Marino Family Charitable Foundation, which he and his wife founded.
